Our People
At Full Moon Vista not only do we sell and service all types of bicycles, but we are all types of cyclists. We are commuters, leisure riders, roadies, mountain bikers, long-mileage tourists, 'cross racers and other two-wheeled devotees. We can help you find the perfect bike for the kind of riding you do because we have a first-hand understanding of what you'll need!
Scott Page - Owner, Fit Expert
I have been working full time in the cycling industry for over 15 years. In 2005 I opened Full Moon Vista to create an environment that goes above and beyond simply being a retail establishment. I want Full Moon Vista to be warm and welcoming, whether you're a veteran cyclist or someone who’s merely thinking about getting into the sport.
I've only ever wanted to ride two wheels. I started riding a motorcycle at five years old and when I wasn’t riding that I was riding my bike. I’ve been passionate about cycling ever since. Over the years I've used that passion to contribute to the cycling community by helping educate the public, creating events like the Rochester Omnium and Twilight Criterium and leading rides like the Tuesday Night Urban Assault.
I am continuously working to improve the shop and the events we organize and execute, all for the goal of making Rochester, NY a bicycle friendly and bicycle-centered city!

I most commonly identify myself as a mountain biker. I’ve been an off-road enthusiast for almost 15 years. In fact, I didn't even get my driver’s license until I was 18 because I got my first real mountain bike for my 16th birthday! I especially like single-speed mountain biking, and haven't raced or ridden a geared mountain bike since the fall of 2008.
When I was in junior high my best friend got a job at our local bike shop. Needless to say I hung around the shop most days and quickly became free labor, eager to learn anything about bikes that I could pick up. From that time I've always found my way in one way or another back to working with bikes.
I've been at Full Moon Vista since the summer of 2006. Working here has allowed me to branch out into other types of cycling, including road biking and my new favorite fall sport, cyclocross! Not being a Rochester native, it's been great to become part of such a diverse cycling community.
Shana Lydon - Manager, etc.
I'm an avid year-round road and 'cross rider and a novice mountain biker/snow-rider in the off-season. I started riding in July of 2005 when I came to FMV as a customer - I left the shop with my first road bike and a job offer. Fast forward four years, and I am here more than I'm not! Full Moon Vista has afforded me some amazing opportunities and I'm eternally grateful to the wonderful people that make up this family.
While I am now fit, I wasn’t always this way. It's been a long and bumpy road - I lost a bunch of weight and traded an exceedingly unhealthy lifestyle for one that is often times too full, but very active and much healthier. I ride most days and race more weekends than not. All that healthy living aside though, I still enjoy pizza and good beer - albeit in moderation!
Cycling changed my life for the better and working at the shop, I get to watch our customers grow as cyclists too. I've met so many great people, played a role in some truly phenomenal events and had a blast through it all - all because of Full Moon Vista!

What started out as an escape device from older sisters became a lifelong passion. The thrill of balance and the gratification of cresting a hill or carving a corner on the way back down still motivate my riding. Self contained touring, commuting and club riding are my favorite cycling activities. Mountain biking, fixed gear riding and, when I was younger, time trialing have found their way into my life as well. The 174 gears that I have are spread through the 12 bikes that make up my stable.
While I'm the most recent addition to the Full Moon Vista crew my bike shop career started before some of the staff were born. Starting with assembling bikes at a department store in high school, then learning to build frames at the local bike shop, through owning a shop for 14 years and now back to wrenching has given me have a vast range of experience that I bring to each of my customer's needs.
Winds of life have brought me back to Rochester and I find the cycling community larger and more vibrant then when I left 25 years ago. I look forward to servicing your needs and helping each cyclist enjoy riding as much as I do.

I’ve never been what people in the industry call a "shop rat". When I started working at Full Moon Vista it was a big change for me. It’s been great getting to know and love the cycling culture and all the new people I’ve met. It’s also been a pretty big change for me to be comfortable wearing spandex in public!
I’ve learned so much since starting at FMV, whether it’s how to change a tire in five minutes, why you should always bring food with you when you ride, or even that getting up at 5 a.m. and working a 14 hour day can be fun! I’ve also learned that you don’t have to ride a five thousand dollar bike to have an amazing ride (although the few times I have it’s been hard to stop smiling!).
Working here has given me the opportunity to do some pretty extraordinary things. Being involved with a professional race gave me some experiences I never would have dreamed of – especially as an 18 year old! Setting up races, talking with riders, riding with my friends; it’s all been great and I’m looking forward to what the future will bring!

I've been interested in anything with wheels for as long as I can remember. Oddly enough, I started off working on four-wheeled vehicles instead of two. When I was 12, my father and I decided to rebuild a 1978 Corvette to help me learn how to wrench. Since then I have been a self-proclaimed gear head and car guru. I only started working on bikes because I needed a job, and figured I already knew a few things about mechanics. Little did I know that working on cars and working on bikes are actually two entirely different disciplines.
Seven years later I walked into Full Moon Vista and asked for a job. I have learned a lot at the various bike shops I worked at before, but I would say that I truly became involved with the bicycling community when I started working for FMV. 2009 marked my first time entering a bike race, first time setting up for and breaking down a race, my first time riding in freezing weather, and the first time I have ever had serious pride for the shop I work for. Because of FMV, I am now addicted to cyclocross, single-speeds and actually wearing a helmet. I am indebted to the staff who have shown me that bicycles are more than just a mode of transportation, they are a way of life and living. It has been a pleasure working on all of your bicycles, and I look forward to making your riding experience as smooth as possible.

My introduction to cycling came at the age of thirteen when my friend’s father encouraged a few of the neighborhood kids to join him on his weekend Road rides throughout the Hudson Valley. This ultimately led to our riding from Montreal, Canada to Poughkeepsie, NY the following year. High School sports occupied my weekends so my riding went by the wayside unless I needed transportation to and from practice.
After a 20 year hiatus I found myself looking for a new form of exercise and wound up back on the bike. I immediately realized how much I missed and enjoyed riding. After a few seasons of summer riding I heard about a group that rides in the winter so I showed up one Tuesday, met this guy named Scott and 10 years later here we are!
As my cycling goes I would call myself an aspiring racer (non-participant as of yet). I enjoy mountain biking as well but especially love riding my fixie! I have participated in many charity rides and pretty much try to get out as much as possible. Rochester has a great cycling community and I hope to contribute to its growth through my employment at Full Moon Vista.

'Like riding a bike' (idiomatic). Said of skill that, once learned, is never forgotten.
I remember as a kid when I used to ride my bike, it was such a thrill; the speed, the personal freedom. Many, many years later a doctor says words you don’t want to hear. Time spent in a pharmacy filling way too many prescriptions and disliking how I felt. What happened? I remember.....
The memory of riding as a kid prompted me to ride a trainer in my basement. I lost over 50lbs and improved my health. A friend introduced me to Scott, because I was ready to ride somewhere outside. I left with a bike, fitted just for me, and a part time job. Over the past 10 years, biking has transformed my life; my body, lifestyle and career have changed. Biking clears my mind, lifts my spirit and moves my muscles. My favorite rides are with friends, just hashing out life as we recharge our batteries in the great outdoors.
As my journey continues, I know I will have a bike with me. Maybe your journey should include a bike too!
Kinna - Shop Dog
I came to Full Moon Vista in December of 2009 after being adopted by Scott and Kim (that’s my Mom and Dad!) I am an Icelandic Sheepdog which means I LOVE people, herding things, playing tug of war and most of all: BARKING!
I love being part of the shop and I come to work with my Dad almost every day! People come in all day long to see me and play with me and I adore the attention! If I don’t greet you at the door it’s because I’m working: taking Shana, Kyle, Nancy or Big Dog (I love them all, but they take a lot of work!) for walks, or most importantly, making sure my Dad doesn't get out the door without me!! Feel free to ask whoever is around for me. I’ll be glad to come out and give you a big smile and a slobbery kiss! And for the record, I love to play tug of war and chase balls!
I’m not much of a cyclist, but there is one thing I love about riding: when my family and friends return from their bike rides! They come back happy, relaxed, tired, excited, sometimes even covered in snow and always wearing big smiles from riding their bikes! That means lots of pets, rubs and scratches for me. And maybe even a treat!
Ride in anytime! I'll show you where the treats are kept, and I promise we'll have fun!!
